In Matthew chapter 4, Jesus spoke of the time for
harvest being now, not in four months. Most volunteer efforts here
have been focused on the great commandment ministry. We believe that
we must bring that work in balance with the great commission. We plan
to reach out to the unchurched community to share the Good News of Jesus
Christ and offer them living water. Not just help but hope. We
will go beyond sharing the the Gospel by offering bible studies during the
evenings. In addition we will offer gathering events for volunteers in the
local area and will be intentional about reaching out to the hundreds of
contractors working in this area.
We believe that the Lord wants us to minister to all of
the unchurched. There are many in this area that are in great
emotional and physical need.
1 Samuel 22: 2 All those who were in distress or in
debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their leader.
We believe that like David, the Lord is bringing
those who are disillusioned and rejected - distressed - discontented .. for
the purpose of showing them Jesus.
We introduced 40 Days of Purpose to the residents that we have ministered to
beginning in May 2007.
Since September 2006 we have given a copy of Purpose
Driven Life to residents with each storage pod we delivered.
