Gateway Disaster Relief Team Families and Friends,

The Gateway Disaster Relief Advance Team has arrived in Ocean Springs, MS. They are setting up a disaster relief shelter under the auspices of the American Red Cross. The ARC sent a team to Gateway last night to train the volunteers to do this very thing. PTL, we serve a “just in time” God!

They are setting the shelter up at Christus Victor Church which is on Bienville Blvd, near I-10 and Hwy 90. The team will be staying in the church, too. The church phone number is 228-874-2446, but the phone lines are not working yet. We have no word on when they will be working.

The rest of the team will be leaving from Gateway tonight about 5:30pm.

Please be in prayer for them for clarity of thought; for things to be done in an orderly way; that there will be order, calmness, and safety in this facility; and that the Gateway Team will be able to minister to physical and spiritual needs with Christ shining through in all that they do and say.

BTW, they do have sporadic cell phone signal at their location.

As I learn more, I’ll keep you informed. If you learn any additional information, please relay it to me so I can pass it on to the other family members and friends of the team.
