  Greetings;

Another week has passed. The number of volunteers is growing and the calendar is filling up. We are planning to expand the capacity of the camp to accommodate the expansion of the ministry. Pastor Ed is teaming with the pastor at Lakeshore Baptist Church by providing a place to host a limited number of volunteers that are supporting the work in Lakeshore, Ms. Lakeshore Baptist Church was completely destroyed in the storm. Of course the addition of that capacity stresses other aspects of the camp. We had two Porto-lets delivered today and will be receiving a larger trash container on Monday. We now have three refrigerators and will be receiving an additional freezer this weekend. We are also looking at expanding showers.

We met with staff from International Aid, based in Michigan this week. They are running a supply distribution point at Stennis airport about 10 miles from here. They have opened their doors to our camp making whatever they have available to us. PTL. I told them we needed pallets for the floor of the volunteer tent. They provided a truck and access to 200 pallets the next day! Jehovah Jireh. Those pallets are now sitting in our field.

Each day we receive new requests for assistance from Katrina Victims. The need for volunteers is growing. Today about 30 folks from FBC Montgomery arrive for the weekend. We expect to make good headway in several homes and in Shoreline Church.

Dave and Ellie Bradley arrived yesterday from New Hampshire. They will be here through Thanksgiving. Dave is retired Army and a helicopter pilot (so I have someone who speaks my language .. we just can’t tell to many helicopter war stories!) Ellie is a retired nurse. Great folks and already hard at work. Ellie is running the kitchen – Dave is helping with the church.

Thanks to all for your prayers and support. Please visit our web site, if you haven’t recently. We try to update it 2 t 3 times a week. If you don’t see something that you think might be helpful let us know.

Blessings
