We visited Shoreline again yesterday. We intend to move the camper on Monday, Oct 17, or Tuesday, Oct 18. My replacement here is a retired Navy Lt Cdr (Bob Montgomery) who attends the church. (Jehovah Jireh) Christus Victor has agreed to “seed” the work there with equipment and supplies. I delivered generators, chain saws, tents, cots, air mattresses, and other items. Martie and I will use most of it to set the camp up.

Bob indicated that he will continue to push supplies to us as needed. When I arrived there yesterday, Pastor Ed asked if I could get a pressure washer. We will bring the pressure washer this afternoon, along with other equipment for the work crews.

As we were loading the truck the pastor from Stockton First Baptist arrived with supplies from his church. We backed the truck up to his trailer and transferred them, then and there. We serve a “just in time” God.

This first week we will be organizing the camp, identifying what needs to be done for the camp to be ready for the first work crews, coordinating with ministries in the area, and identifying local supply points.

I will send an update on Tuesdays and Fridays so you will have information that you can pass along to those in your church who are interested in this ministry’s progress.

A side note: When I arrived at the church, Pastor Ed was working with one other man from Oregon to clear some space in the first floor to store materials. What stuck me was how “alone” he looked. It confirmed even more that we need to come along side him, like Aaron and Hur.

Exodus 17:11 - 13 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.  But Moses’ hands grew weary; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; so his hands were steady until the sun set.  And Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the sword.

Be Blessed

Matt 25:35-36 …… for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me ….
