Greetings!

We trust that this update finds you well, both physically and spiritually.

The weather has taken a turn on the Gulf Coast.  This morning it was 66 degrees ...  brrrr!   We just finished the sheet rock in the fellowship hall.  Next will be to figure out how to keep it warm when the cold wind blows in a couple of months  .....

As the ministry continues to mature Martie and I are very encouraged by the significant commitments some believers have been making to the Lord with respect to serving through Pathfinder.  People who have expressed their willingness to lay their lives down in response to God's leading to come here full time for specific ministry to the residents in this area. Volunteers are the multipliers of ministry.  Martie and I can't fulfill the vision God has given us apart from other believers coming along side us in ministry.

Last week we were reworking the power for the camp.  Our office tent power was still running off of Little Zion and our goal was for all of the power to run off of our service pole.   We have been paying Little Zion the difference on their electric bill.  Joel Owens from Lighthouse Church came down to help us do that.  As we looked at the existing wiring he said "You know if we had the right wire, we could make the solution really simple." Later while I was working in the office tent on a computer for Robert Lumpkin ( he is drawing cabinet layouts for people in the area),  I heard a truck pull up and went outside to investigate.  Joel was talking to some electricians who were looking for a house.  After Joel introduced me to them, one of the workers pointed at the pods waiting for delivery and asked what they were for.  I explained the program to him and  how the people were using them.  Then I asked him if he happened to have any of the wire we needed.  I explained what we needed it for (actually Joel had to step in to explain my explanation).  The worker said he did have it and would give us as much as we needed to re-route the power.  God is good!  Next Joel told me that he needed an electrical box and a pole to mount it on.  Several weeks ago one of the ladies who attends our bible study had offered that pole and box she had used for for FEMA trailer.  I brought it to Joel and he said that was exactly what he needed.

One of the volunteers who was watching what was happening commented on how he was amazed at how God had provided just what we needed when we needed it.  I told him that God does that all of the time here .. it is pretty cool!

Our computer classes start next Tuesday night.  (Answer to prayer) One of the residents who applied for a pod commented on the computers we have in the office tent.  I told him that we were going to provide training to the local residents.  He told me that he had instructed computer classes in the past and would be happy to help teach the class.  In fact, he could teach other classes besides the Internet and E-mail.  His wife commented that he had been wanting to "give back" in some way.  The truth is that I was going to teach the class but had been praying that God would raise up someone else to do it .... and He did!  PTL!

As many of you know, Martie and I have been living in less than 200 sq ft for the past year.  That is not a complaint, just a fact.  We have decided to purchase a small lot with the money we received from the sale of our home in Montgomery.  The lot we are looking at has a small house on it ( 500 sq ft) so we are about to double our living space.  When I raise my hands I can't touch the ceiling ... so I am excited!  The house needs a lot of work, but we have learned quite a bit about remodeling in the past months.  At any rate, please pray that all goes well with the sale.  It should happen in the next week or so.

We are at 300 pods delivered and should deliver in the next few weeks.  Even after a year, we still have folks coming in to make application for the Pods.  Not at the same rate as before, but the project continues.  Tomorrow we have volunteers from Willow Creek in Chicago who will help us deliver pods.

This week we will have volunteers from Michigan.  Next month we have volunteers scheduled from Saddleback and High Desert Church in California and from FBC Orlando in Florida.  Please pray that God will continue to stir the hearts of believers to come to the Gulf Coast for a few days in service to Him and ministry to the people of this region.

The camp will be closed for Thanksgiving (23 - 26 November).  We will be with our family on Florida Panhandle for a few days.  We are looking forward to spending some time with our daughters and their husbands and naturally the grand children.

Thank you for your prayers over the past months.  Please continue to pray for

The Bob Caslen family.  Bob's mother passed away
The Jimmie McDermott family.  Jimmie's mother passed away.
The Alan Cross family ( our pastor).  His son Caelen has completed his radiation treatments.

That the Lord will continue to provide the support we need for the camp and for our personal support.

1 Thess 3:9, 12-13  How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? ...... 12May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Blessings
